IN THE EARLY TO MID-1990'S, I USED TO FREQUENTLY USE THE ROUTE 66 ROUTE BY PICKING IT UP IN TUCUMCARI, NEW MEXICO AND TAKING IT EAST TOWARDS CHICAGO. IN THE MIDDLE OF THE NIGHT, A RADIO STATION IN NEW MEXICO USED TO PLAY A RECORDING OF THE HISTORY OF ROUTE 66 WITH RICARDO MONTALBON'S VOICE DOING THE NARRATION.. ABSOLUTELY UNFORGETABLE...
