To the left is the backside of Mt Whitney, Hitchcock Lakes, Hitchcock peak, and Guitar Lake in the distance nearer centre. To the immediate right are the 96 switchbacks down to Trailcamp by the middle lake, above which rises Wotans Throne at centre right. Farther back/right is Consultation Lake. Barely visible way down Lone Pine Creek valley is Lone Pine Lake, just a few miles above the Whitney Portal trailhead. Mt Whitney is hidden behind the ridge at centre.
