Taken on the 26th anniversary of the May 18th 1980 eruption this mountain is for sure a sleeping giant. It cause state wide sorrow, killed 57 people and left 1000s homeless. Ash fell as far south as Oregon. Town were turned gray, landscapes and forests destroyed.
