About This Design
Mount Washington Postcard
This postcard features the highest peak in America's Northeast - Mount Washington in New Hampshire. At an elevation of 6,288 feet, it is the most prominent topographical formation east of the Mississippi River. A 231 mph windspeed was recorded here in 1934! The summit is home to an observatory for science and educational purposes, as well as a weather station. The summit can be reached by the local cog railway, by car via the Auto Road, or by foot for the skilled hikers. If you get a clear day at the summit, you can actually see the Atlantic Ocean. This postcard is a fun way to remember your Mt. Washington adventures and/or let others know about them. Feel free to contact me through Zazzle if you have questions about this postcard or would like help transferring this image to a different item. I'm happy to help to ensure the image and wording fit correctly.
