This motivational quotation comes from a book by the Scottish mountaineer, W. H. Murray. He was deputy leader of the 1951 Everest Reconnaissance, which faced many almost insurmountable hurdles to get it off the ground. Their work laid the groundwork for the successful 1953 British Mount Everest Expedition, which saw Edmund Hillary and Tenzing Norgay reach the summit on May 29th, 1953. The image is a stock photo of Everest, with minor work done in PhotoShop and Topaz.
