Pierre-Auguste (Auguste) Renoir (Pierre-Auguste Renoir, February 25, 1841 - December 3, 1919) is a French impressionist painter. Since his style began to change from the latter half, he is rarely regarded as a painter of the Post Impressionist school. There are still-life paintings such as landscape paintings and flowers, but most of the representative works are portraits. In the early days, he was influenced by Angle, Dracroix and so on, and joined the group of impressionist artists such as Monet, but later on, he changed his style of painting through the study of classical paintings, and in his later years, he developed his own style into portraits such as rich nude ladies. He is a popular painter outside France, such as Japan.
