Moonrise by the Sea (by Caspar David Friedrich) Card

This design features a painting by the 19th-century German artist Caspar David Friedrich (1774–1840). It depicts a romantic seascape. On the water are two sailing ships, using the light breeze to travel towards the shore. The landscape depicted is probably located around the Baltic Sea. The original art was painted by Caspar David Friedrich in 1822. The German title of the painting is "Mondaufgang am Meer", which means "Moonrise by the Sea" or "Rising Moon over the Sea".
