Monkey Forest Gate

Travel to Bali, Indonesia's famous Hindu island, and you must visit the town of Ubud, which is home to the Sacred Monkey Forest. The grey stone image of a mother long-tailed macaque monkey sits atop a pillar at the entrance, with her stone baby monkeys playing around her feet and below her on the pillar. A stone tail from one of the juvenile monkeys shows around the corner of the pillar in the lower right corner. A green, leafy background is made up of trees and fern fronds.
