Monet Water Lilies and Reflections of a Willow Bath Mat

Incorporated into the design of this product is a beautiful print from the Water Lilies series -- this particular one is called | Water Lilies and Reflections of a Willow | oil on canvas painted 1916 - 19 by French Impressionist painter Claude Monet (1840 -1926). In 1899 Monet began painting the water lilies, a series of roughly 250 oil paintings, from his home in Giverny where he created a vast landscaping project that included lily ponds that would become the subjects of his best known work. When Monet began the series he painted his water lilies in vertical views with a Japanese bridge as a central feature but later in the series he switched to large-scale paintings that were to occupy him continuously for the next 20 years of his life.
