Shown are Mokuaikaua Church and Hulihee Palace, two buildings in downtown Kailua-Kona that are both listed on the U.S. National Register of Historic Places. Mokuaikaua Church is the oldest Christian Church in Hawaii. It was founded in 1820 and construction on the current building started in 1835. Hulihee Palace is the former vacation home of Hawaiian royalty.
