This funny and educational geology product features the "Mohs Scale of Easiness," a play on the "Mohs Scale of Hardness." One side of the mug is a joke and features the "Mineral Easiness" scale, with only one entry.
The other side of the mug is the actual Mineral Hardness scale, with the ten minerals of the Mohs scale, listing their hardness number (1-10), mineral name (talc, gypsum, calcite, fluorite, apatite, orthoclase, quartz, topaz, corundum, and diamond), and their respective chemical formulas. It also includes the positioning of several handy reference items (fingernail, penny, iron nail, glass, and streak plate).
This is a handy item for a beginning mineralogist or rockhound with a sense of humour.

This mug was exactly as described. I have purchased the stainless steel one before and the white is a nice change (stainless steel inside). I found the lavender purple a little light for my liking but that's my fault. Next time I'll choose a more grapey purple.
