Mission San Miguel Arcangel is located along the central coast of California in San Luis Obispo county. It was founded in 1797 by the Franciscan Order. This is a photograph of Mission San Miguel, in California, before the San Simeon earthquake in 2003. I had taken this photo two months before a 6.5 strength earthquake collapsed part of the architecture. It was the strongest earthquake in that area in 50 years.
