This mid 19th century Japanese Fine Arts History artwork titled ‘Mino no kuni yōrō no taki’ by Katsushika Hokusai features two pilgrims looking at the Yōrō Falls in Mino Province while other pilgrims rest in a nearby shelter. The Yoro Falls rank among the top 100 waterfalls in Japan and are noteworthy owing to their high-quality water which was utilized for preparing a brand of cider known previously as Yoro Cider, and later as ‘Yoro Sanroku Cider’.
