A historic and atmospheric depiction of Michael’s Gate in Bratislava, Slovakia, the only surviving medieval gate of the city’s original fortifications. Built around the late 13th to early 14th century, it stands among the oldest architectural landmarks of Bratislava. Rising 51 meters high with a distinctive Baroque tower added in 1758, the gate is crowned by a copper statue of St. Michael slaying the dragon, a dramatic symbol of protection and victory.
Today, Michael’s Gate houses the Museum of Arms and opens into the charming Old Town, where narrow cobblestone streets, colorful façades, and centuries of history converge. I was beyond thrilled with how this custom tie turned out. I applied my husband’s business name to it all over the place and it was beautifully produced, absolutely perfect. Silky, shiny, exactly as I designed it. The lettering was not raised which was my fear. It formed a part of the tie itself so it looked like it was supposed to be there! My husband loved it and I made 9 more in different designs. Produced very quickly, well packaged and arrived early! I loved this design so much and the print turned out so nice, exactly as I designed it and it was not raised, it looked as though it was part of the overall fabric itself! It was so cool!
