The international travellers of the middle ages brought back some pretty tall tales. The Blemmyai were a tribe of headless men whose faces were set upon their chests. They were said to dwell in either Africa or India. The Arimaspians were a tribe of one-eyed men who lived at the foot of the mountains in northern Skythia. The Cynocephali were an Indian and African tribe of dog-headed men. And possibly the most bizarre: The Skiapodes were a tribe of Ethiopian men who had a single giant foot which they raised in the air to shade themselves against the hot southern sun.
