Tikal is an ancient Mayan site, located in Northern Guatemala. It was one of the major cultural centers of the Mayan civilization and is considered a sacred site by the Maya and their descendants. (Note: I did manage to climb to the top, but it was not easy.). ~I took this picture on a very hot summer day in Tikal National Park in Northern Guatemala. I used a Canon 5D camera, and I later digitized the image in Photoshop.
