Postcard inspired by a painting by American Impressionist artist Mary Cassatt (Woman sitting with a child in her arms, c. 1890). The picture shows a mother and her young child in a room with a table and a water pitcher. The child seems relaxed and perhaps a little tired, leaning his or her head against the shoulder of the mother. The woman, sitting in a comfortable chair, is looking away from the viewer. This both makes her anonymous and gives the impression that the she and the child inhabit a private and intimate space. Default text reads 'Mary Cassatt, c. 1890' - but you can change that, of course. Write anything you like - or something that relate to the picture, perhaps something about mothers and children.
