Utagawa Hiroshige (1797 – October 12, 1858) was a Japanese ukiyo-e artist, and one of the last great artists in that tradition.
Maple Trees at Mama, Tekona Shrine and Linked Bridge (1st Month, 1857). The city of Mama was ten miles east of Edo and famous for the beauty of its autumn maples. Beyond the maples lie the shrine and bridge, which were important in Japanese literature.
