This is a hand made ink art design using a real maple leaf, a bit of earth toned paint splatter and natural ink from wild inky cap mushrooms. The purple effect is a filter applied post process. Maple leaves and trees are part of our Canadian heritage and the maple leaf is a proud symbol of Canada! Ten maple (Acer) tree species are native to this country and a few imports have taken root too. The leaf used in this artwork comes from a silver maple tree.
