Manoa Valley Rainforest Postcard

In the distance, one can see a mountain range lush with tropical plants, trees, and animals. Misty clouds hang over this range most everyday. Below sits a residential neighbourhood of older well-kept homes. Above the homes sits the rainforest where a hike can be made up to Manoa Falls. The University of Hawaii is in Manoa Valley. The United States President, President Barack Obama, lived here as a child. This area isn't a common tourist destination and most visitors to Oahu don't realize it is there because it is inland, but just three miles from Honolulu. The hike up to the Manoa Falls is an interesting one and hightly recommended if you like to hike trails. Just be careful and leave before the mist turns into rain!
