One of the most colourful monkeys you'll ever see, the Mandrill is native to West central Africa. The Mandrill is the largest of all monkeys and has blue and red skin on his face and posterior. The Mandrill is classified as vulnerable due to loss of habitat but is not considered endangered. Mandrills eat seeds, fruit and roots supplemented with insects, snails and worms as well as snakes, frogs and lizards. They are omnivores meaning they can eat both plant and meat, and they are opportunists, they will scavenge anything that is available.
