Malcesine on Lake Garda (1913) by Gustav Klimt is a vintage Victorian Era Art Nouveau fine art symbolism painting. A beautiful view of the Italian city of Malcesine with buildings and houses on the edge of the harbour. The homes and boats cast a reflection in the calm water. You can see the walls of the Castello castle at the top of the hill behind the houses.
About the artist:
Gustav Klimt (1862-1918) was an Austrian Symbolist painter and one of the most prominent members of the Vienna Art Nouveau movement.
