Madhubani is an ancient folk art practiced for centuries by women from a region in North India. The paintings are a creative expression of their experiences and everyday encounters. Rich in motifs and imagery, Madhubani is a painstaking art form. Each motif has its own significance and symbolism - for instance turtles symbolize prosperity, the lotus and bamboo signify feminine and masculine sexuality respectively, peacocks signify love and peace; parrots, fish, banana and betel leaves are auspicious and symbolize fertility and regeneration.

These bags were super cute (I purchased 3). The material is more of a canvas look & feel. The colour of the bag is slightly off white, but the letters look exactly as pictured. I took 3 photos in different lighting. Would recommend! I liked how there was an option to choose the font and colour of the name. The words are legible and the colours are exactly as pictured.

Bought this for my daughter for her birthday and she absolutely LOVES IT!!! She’s had this for almost a month and she’s been over using it. It nice, simple and sturdy.
