The black that surrounds "Madame X" allows the extreme vertical proportions of the painting to sit comfortably on the standard card size. The elegant image sits on an elegant card. This card was purchased to be a thank you card for a wonderful painting teacher and it was special enough to communicate our appreciation! The printing is crisp and the colors are correct.
