Macal River Falls - After a lot of rafting and hiking we reached this spot deep into the preserved and protected wilderness of Belize. The couple in foreground are Ken and Phyllis, originally from Colorado but when I camped in the jungle with them they had been in Belize for several years and developed a small eco-tourism camp in the jungle. The day before I made this photo, they had discovered a cave above their camp. Inside, untouched for about 500 years was pottery, some huge, still sealed as they were when the Mayans left them to have a cache of foods and supplies. - Wayne Green
