Mabie Todd Blackbird Top Filler Fountain Pens Mug

A collection of the three Mabie Todd Blackbird BT200 "Top Filler" fountain pens and one of the matching Fyne Point pencils from 1937-1940. These pens are noted for their beautiful blue and green celluloid cap and barrel materials and unique plunger filling system. “Top filling” indicates the barrel end is the “top” of the pen when the pen is inverted for filling. The pen has a plunger that is accessed by removing the barrel end cap and when the nib is in ink is pressed repeatedly to fill the visible ink chamber in the barrel. The plunger is wrapped by a rubber tube. Some of these pens were converted into bulb fillers during World War II due to lack of parts. Have your own Blackbird BT200 pen collection with your coffee!
