This wall clock is sturdy and looks basically like it does online. The hands of the clock I received are black but still compliments the design well. It makes a light noise as the second hand moves but not loud enough to disrupt the noise level of the room. The hands are not enclosed by any cover they stand out as being an elegant part of the design of the clock. The printing is fantastic. Every element of color and detail is true to the design. It is better than I had expected.
