[Koibumi] Fumon is a letter. Today, it is put in an envelope, but since it used to be tied with paper, the Monmon is a pattern of a shape that is tied with a sentence. Most of the basic patterns are made of long and narrow folded paper tied in the middle to form a dumpling shape or a 'ku' shape. Some of them were made by adding kanzashi (kanzashi), such as 'Koibun-mon.' (A Book That Knows All About His Family Crest, written by Hitoshi TAKAZAWA)
