Louisiana Constitution and Convention Members 1868 Jigsaw Puzzle
This puzzle features the African Americans, most born free men, who formed a majority of delegates at the Louisiana Constitutional Convention of 1868. Louisiana, like all the new Southern constitutions written after the U.S. Civil War, gave Blacks political and civil rights. The delegates at the 1868 constitutional convention included Oscar J. Dunn, the state’s lieutenant governor, and P. B. S. Pinch back, who became lieutenant governor and subsequently governor of Louisiana. This is a great resource for teachers and educators who seek to portray a more accurate account of the diversity of American history. It is also a valuable puzzle for African-American history programming, as well as a Black history homeschooling resource.

I had fun putting the pieces of the puzzles together. They weren’t to hard and the art was pretty. The colours and the images were pretty and vibrant.

Bought this as a Christmas gift for my sister and niece who love puzzles. Very cute. Good quality printing, even with the details of the leaves in the background.
