Lost Cave Parrot Post Card

The Lost Cave Parrot of Saint Paul is part of a collection of watercolor paintings made under the premise that among the Saint Paul Minnesota caves famously used by Bootleggers during Prohibition that there could be an unexplored cave filled with paintings. Under the sponsorship of The Small Friends' Research Institute, I have undertaken the "excavation" of the cave, creating paintings made with gesso-on-paper or gesso-on-aluminum-panels. My challenge as a writer is to create a coherent narrative that explains the presence of historic, pre-historic, and whimsical creatures in this heretofore undiscovered cave in Minnesota. I am currently studying plate tectonics, which I hope will help with the story.
