London Afternoon Tea Postcard

It is kind of a must in your in London to do an Afternoon Tea. They are everywhere. It is shocking to know that it is not that old as you would think it was. In 1840, Anna, The Seventh Duchess of Bedford introduced Afternoon tea in England. Around four o’clock in the afternoon, she would find herself hungry. Since dinner was around eight o’clock, she asked for a tray of tea, bread and butter, and some cake to be brought to her. This became her habit and introduced it to her visiting friends. Traditional Afternoon tea consists of a selection of dainty sandwiches, scones that is served with clotted cream and preserves. Cakes and pastries are served as well. Depending where you go for tea, you should have verities of different teas to choose from.
