Lobster Shack, Bailey Island, Maine Postcard

A lobster shack looks deserted on a November day on Bailey Island, Maine. Bailey Island is an island in Casco Bay, and a part of the town of Harpswell, in Cumberland County, Maine. As of the 2000 census, the island had a year-round population of 400. The population swells in summer, which is when I first visited the island. The people are friendly on this beautiful little island, with its rocky shore. Wild roses grow everywhere. You can see the lobstermen out on their boats in the early morning before vacationers have ventured out. ANOTHER VERSION OF THIS POSTCARD:
