Mary Ellen Webb, a member of the board of That All May Freely Serve, died of cancer in November 2005 at age 65. Her smile -- her warm, steady, quiet friendship – we will not forget. These lines of Henri Amiel (1821-1881) are often quoted by our friend, colleague, and mentor, Virginia West Davidson, TAMFS Co-Moderator Emerita, and they exactly characterize the life of Mary Ellen Webb: “Life is short and we have never too much time for gladdening the hearts of those who are travelling this journey with us. Oh, be swift to love, make haste to be kind!” – Henri Amiel (1821-1881)
