Les Noisettes: Young Girls Collecting Hazelnuts Metal Lunch Box
The warm autumn sun dappled through the leaves of the hazelnut tree, casting dancing shadows on the forest floor. Two young girls, Elise and Juliette, sat beneath its branches, a small pile of golden nuts nestled amongst the fallen leaves. - Elise, the elder of the two, leaned against the rough bark of the tree, a mischievous glint in her eyes. She held a handful of nuts teasingly above Juliette's head. "Try to catch them, petite souris!" she chirped, scattering the nuts with a delighted giggle. - Juliette, a whirlwind of motion, chased after the falling nuts, her laughter echoing through the woods. She scooped up a handful, her face flushed with exertion and delight. "You're impossible, Elise!" she exclaimed, her voice breathless. - Elise grinned, her eyes crinkling at the corners. "That's the idea, ma petite!" she retorted, tossing a few more nuts into the air. - They tumbled and rolled amongst the leaves, their laughter mingling with the gentle rustling of the trees. For a moment, the world seemed to shrink to just the two of them, lost in their own private game. - Juliette, catching her breath, looked around at the dappled sunlight filtering through the leaves. "It's so beautiful here," she sighed contentedly. "I wish we could stay here forever." - Elise nodded, gazing up at the canopy of leaves. "Me too," she admitted. "It's like a secret garden." - They fell silent, content in the companionship of each other and the peaceful tranquillity of the woods. Elise, ever the dreamer, began to imagine what they would do with their treasures. "Perhaps we could roast them over the fire," she mused, "and tell stories all evening." - Juliette's eyes widened. "Or maybe we could make a necklace for Grand-mère," she suggested, her voice filled with excitement. "She loves hazelnut necklaces." - As the sun began to dip below the horizon, casting long shadows across the forest floor, the girls reluctantly gathered their nuts and began to make their way home. They walked hand-in-hand, their laughter fading into the distance, leaving behind a trail of golden leaves and the lingering scent of autumn. - The woods, once alive with their playful chatter, returned to its peaceful slumber, the only sound the gentle whisper of the wind through the trees. But the memory of their laughter, like the scent of woodsmoke, lingered long after they were gone, a reminder of the simple joys of childhood and the enduring magic of a shared secret. - Les Noisettes or The Nut Gatherers is an 1882 oil painting by the French artist William-Adolphe Bouguereau. This work is in the public domain in its country of origin and other countries and areas where the copyright term is the author's life plus 100 years or fewer.

I loved the idea so much of this metal lunchbox because I always wanted one as a child... but never took lunch to school! So when I saw this offered in Zazzle, I just had to make one for my nephew for his birthday. I'm not sure if he'll take his lunch to work in it... but I'm sure he'll find all kinds of other uses for this very unique keepsake case. It's so well constructed and my doodle artwork printed beautifully.

I ordered this as a gift for my daughter for Christmas. I was beyond delighted by the quality of the printing and the lunch-box. It arrived so quickly too. I was so happy with that order that I went on to place 2 more orders for other customized gifts! The colours were lovely and the image reproduction was spot in.

I'd been experimenting with transferring designs to other products when my wife noticed this old time metal lunchbox. I knew she wanted it thus I created a special one just for here with a couple of her favorite photos I'd taken. Excellent. The cloud image on the front is her favorite of the two. It was taken right off our back patio. The other image was in West Texas several years ago, wide open spaces and roads.
