Leicester Floral Pattern with Monogram Coffee Mug

Leicester was designed as a block printed wallpaper by John Henry Dearle in 1912. Inspired by William Morris' earlier design "Bachelors Button" of 1892, Leicester evokes the romance of the medieval past that so inspired Morris. Dearle was a British textile and stained glass designer trained by Pre-Raphaelite artist and craftsman William Morris. Dearle designed many of the later wallpaper and textiles released by Morris and Company in the late 1800's. Shown here in shades of green, this design is also available in pink. Personalize the monogram with your desired initial or other text. It makes a lovely custom gift.
