Leftover Postcard
The island is at the coast of Kuwait, 45 minutes boat ride. During the Gulf war the Iraqis wanted the island and a big battle raged there. It was a holiday resort for the Kuwaitis before the war, now it's just a big reminder of what's lost. You can still visit the island and the beautiful beaches, Greek ruins, etc. Few people even still live there, but you will see ruins all over the place.
