A beautiful sunny day in Central Oregon. The Lava Cast Forest is about a 1 mile loop trail through a 6,000 year old lava flow that created "casts" of old trees. It is part of the Newberry National Volcanic Monument near La Pine, Oregon. The tops of the Cascade Mountain Peaks are visible just above the treeline. Photo taken summer 2018.

I was originally happy about my purchase and Nana loved the gift. HOWEVER, the description specifically says that these are microwave and dishwasher safe, BUT the first time Nana put this mug in the dishwasher it was destroyed. Not impressed..
