A beautiful sunny day in Central Oregon. The Lava Cast Forest is about a 1 mile loop trail through a 6,000 year old lava flow that created "casts" of old trees. It is part of the Newberry National Volcanic Monument near La Pine, Oregon. Beautiful views & wildflowers. Photo taken summer 2018.
