Lake Front Depot Postcard
This is an image of the Chicago & North Western Railway Station in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, taken in the 1890's. The station was built in 1889-1890 near the shore of Lake Michigan and became known as the Lake Front Depot. The clock tower was 234 feet high. The station eventually served 98 trains a day.
