The Lady of Shalott (On Boat) (1888) by JW Waterhouse is a vintage Victorian Era Pre-Raphaelite fine art portrait painting. A woman is floating in a boat down a river towards Camelot Castle. A ballad of Arthurian subject matter loosely based on medieval sources by the English poet Alfred, Lord Tennyson.

John William Waterhouse (1849-1917) was an English Preraphaelite painter most famous for his paintings of female characters from ancient Greek mythology and literature.
