Lady Amherst Pheasant Flank

Molted feather from a companion bird, raised from an egg. Collected, washed in protective soap and laid out by hand to dry in a breezeless room. I photograph the plume with a Nikor macro lens and massaged it in PhotoShop to show all its natural perfection. From Lewis Mark Grimes "Feather Rishi Collection."

What fun to see my macro photography turned into cards. My project for BeFeathered is off to a running start. Here you see a molted pheasant feather. I only use the molted ones to protect species from harm. The pattern below is a fabric made from the same bird's molted feathers. Write me for details about ordering the fabric. Zazzle has a 100% satisfaction policy and they do a wonderful job of printing.
