Lace View French Quarter New Orleans Postcard

Elegant placings surrounded by lace and wrought iron await dining guests, not a piece is out of place. A casual glance out the window brings into focus a mystery. Who is the man framed by the lace curtains gracing the window? What story does he have to tell as he waits out the rainstorm beneath the awning of a storefront on the street below? This image was taken in early July of 2003 from inside an eatery looking out onto Royal Street. It was raining quite hard and the positioning happened to catch the figure of a man waiting on the street, unaware that he is being watched. There is something mysterious, curious and a bit intriguing about him and I often wonder who he was and what he was thinking as he waited.
