The picture on this mug and the newspaper headlines are real. An unexplained object appeared in the skies over Los Angeles, triggering air raid sirens and a barrage from anti-aircraft batteries. Despite over 1,440 anti-aircraft shells being directed against the intruder, and the crews of the batteries reporting direct hits, the unidentified object continued on its way seemingly undamaged. To this day there has not been a satisfactory explanation for this event.
