Kuyou Travel Mug
The Kuyō, or nine luminaries, are nine heavenly bodies used in ancient India for divination: Rago (one of the two "shadow planets" or lunar nodes), Saturn, Mercury, Venus, the Sun, Mars, Ketu (the other "shadow planet"), the Moon, and Jupiter. In Buddhism, these are associated with various deities: Rago with Fudo Myoo, Saturn with Kannon Bosatsu, Mercury with Miroku Bosatsu, Venus with Amida Nyorai, the Sun with Senju Kannon, Mars with Kokuzo Bosatsu, Ketu with Shaka Nyorai, the Moon with Seishi Bosatsu, and Jupiter with Yakushi Nyorai. This mug was exactly as described. I have purchased the stainless steel one before and the white is a nice change (stainless steel inside). I found the lavender purple a little light for my liking but that's my fault. Next time I'll choose a more grapey purple.
