Kuvianak Innovia - de Havilland DH3-C Otter Ceramic Ornament

The Inuit are commonly referred to as Eskimo, but that term is now disfavored as it is considered to be pejorative. The Otter, originally intended to be known as the King Beaver, was conceived as a larger, more capable follow on to highly successful Beaver. The Beaver referred to by de Havilland as a “half-tonne truck;” the Otter would be the “one-tonne truck.” The Otter was used by the military forces of many countries and is also popular in with skydivers; it can be found in many drop zones throughout the world.
