The day I open the clock was a train wreck. The 2nd hand fell off on to the floor. There was a protected plastic cover , but the 2nd hand still fell off. I waited till the next day after I calmed down. I saw that I could put it back on with little fuss. I propped the clock up on the table for a few days to see if it would keep the proper time. Yes all is well. I love the coffee time clock. The colors were really clear and the words Coffee Time were printed nicely.
