Asher Brown Durand (1796-1886) was an American painter of the Hudson River School.
"Kindred Spirits" depicts the painter Thomas Cole, who had died in 1848, and his friend, the poet William Cullen Bryant, in the Catskill Mountains. The landscape painting, which combines geographical features in Kaaterskill Clove and a minuscule depiction of Kaaterskill Falls, is not a literal depiction of American geography. Rather, it is an idealized memory of Cole's discovery of the region more than twenty years prior, his friendship with Bryant, and his ideas about American nature.

This is a really nice puzzle however it is what I would call fragile while putting together. The pieces fit but are very loose, you need to be constantly pushing them together and when you remove a wrong piece a lot of other pieces come with it. However, the pieces themselves are a good thickness and sturdy. It also has more than one cut to the pieces which make it challenging. I really enjoyed this puzzle and it is definitely a hard one for me. The picture on the puzzle is very good quality. It shows the book cover very well and the detail is great. The size I chose I found was perfect in detail for me. It shows very well.
