千字文 (Senjimon / せんじもん / The Thousand Character Classic) was used in ancient China as a textbook for Chinese characters and a model for calligraphy. That was conveyed to Japan. for more information : https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Thousand_Character_Classic This typeface is called "皇朝古印体 (imperial old seal style)” and is used for seals. Note:The characters are reconstructed and vectorized from the National Diet Library Digital Collections data (CC0), and they are not accurately reproduced. ＊The meaning of Chinese poetry : 天地玄黃(てんち　げんこう/ tenchi genkō) 宇宙洪荒(うちゅう　こうこう/ uchū kōkō) Heaven is dark and the earth is yellow, the universe is wide and vast. ＊日月盈昃(じつげつ　えいしょく/ jitsugetsu eishoku) 辰宿列張(しんしゅく　れっちょう/ shinsyuku retchō) The sun leans to the west, and the moon rises and falls. Constellations spread in rows.
