About This Design

Kandinsky Small Pleasures Tile

Kandinsky Small Pleasures tile. Oil on canvas from 1913. Though he would go on to paint some of the most striking abstract works of the twentieth century, Russian artist Wassily Kandinsky was also a gifted impressionist who merged abstract tendencies with the arresting stylistic impulses of the expressionist. Small pleasures is a whirling, colourful work that balances impression with shape and verve. A great gift for fans of Kandinsky, Abstract art, and Russian painting.
