About This Design

Kandinsky In Grey Tile

Kandinsky In Grey tile. Oil on canvas from 1919. Russian artist Wassily Kandinsky painted some of the most vibrant works of the abstract movement. In grey is a more reserved though nevertheless striking painting by this great artist. The work features swirling organic reds, blues greens and blacks over a soft grey background. The study is a lovely expression of the artist’s belief that all colours contained beauty and possibility. A great gift for fans of Wassily Kandinsky, abstract painting, and Russian art.
